Our Sansar have been awarded £20, 000 from the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust. The Trust is well reknowned in the UK for their work in the promotion of education, international friendship and understanding. They are passionate about world peace and development. Originally set up by two generations of the Ferguson Family, grants are provided for charitable organisations and students studying for PhDs.
Amongst others, grants have been awarded to a UK charity who arrange cultural exchanges between children in Britain and Palestine as well as a grant to Camfed for their education projects in Africa.
Our Sansar are conducting preparatory research to establish a children’s home for orphans, street children and other vulnerable children in Janakpur, outside Kathmandu. The home will incorporate a school to provide the children with an education.
At present, the Nepalese government has donated Our Sansar one acre of land in Janakpur for the construction of the children’s home. This work is ongoing so thank you to the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust for their support.
