We are looking for volunteers to work at our partner schools in Nepal. If you would like to share your knowledge and experience with children from less fortunate backgrounds, then we would love to hear from you. We offer programmes for 5, 8 and 10 weeks.

OUR PROGRAMME

As a volunteer you will become involved in the life of the school and the local community. You will have the opportunity to assist with teaching English, Arts, Sports, or Geography. Or, if you have skills in other areas, we will do our best to ensure that you are able to share your valuable knowledge with the children. You can also help in other ways, for example by assisted teachers with activities or helping with the decoration of the school.
Living with a Nepalese family, you will get a genuine taste of what life is like in this beautiful but impoverished country.
Placements take place throughout the year and are 5, 8 or 10 weeks long.
TRAINING
We provide support and training before departure and throughout the duration of the placement. We also provide an induction about the country of placement, assistance with visas, information about required vaccinations, and all other necessary information.
FEES
Volunteers are expected to fundraise a minimum of:
- 5 week programme: £790
- 8 week programme: £1150
- 10 week programme: £1380
Fees include:
- Accommodation

- Pick up from Kathmandu airport
- Nepali language classes
- Sightseeing and cultural information classes
- Administration and Government taxes
- Criminal Records Bureau check
Fees do NOT include:
- Flights
- Visas
- Vaccinations
- Laundry service
- Drinks and bar bills
- Trekking, jungle safari, rafting or any other free time activities
We can help with arranging visas, flights and information on required vaccinations. Volunteers are encouraged to fundraise the money for their placement. We will provide you with information to assist you in your fundraising efforts and will direct you to a variety funding resources. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview and assessment. We will then inform you by email or post if you are successful. If you accept our offer, we will ask you for a £100 deposit to secure your place. You will then receive information on fundraising and all other details of your placement. You will receive training and support before you leave and whilst you are volunteering with Our Sansar.
